December Happenings....

So I decided I might as well blog about the entire month of December in one post because right now it is nearly impossible to find time that Emrey will let me sit long enough to blog. Jer is off of work this entire week and as I type, he rocks Emrey....NICE!! So to start December, the family went on their annual Christmas tree hunt...I must admit, I am not a huge fan of this. I think it is a lot of work to get the kids ready and hike up a mountain and then drag a tree down...not to mention putting lights on it. But it is a big deal to Jeremy so we go.....

Next my little Regan...well not so little anymore...had her FIRST concert for her singing group that she is in called Tavaci. She LOVES to sing AND perform and this group is the perfect fit. I was one proud mommy to watch her sing her little heart out. It was also fun because her Aunt Ashlee and cousins Brogan, Ridge and Dace are in it also.

Next came gingerbread houses at my sisters house. This is a tradition we do every year and it is always a lot of fun...we had bad luck with all the houses toppling over but the kids still had loads of fun...

Then came Christmas....it was a blast this year. Regan and Daxton were totally into the Santa Claus thing. Jeremy and I almost blew it a few times with them finding presents though...man, they are a lot smarter now :) Regan was so excited that Santa remembered everything she wanted. She was a little concerned that we had not left cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. I had to reassure her that I took care of it :)

Another fun tradition is going up to the "Mantua town Christmas party" Christmas morning...I know you are thinking "what, you go up to the church for a town Christmas party on Christmas morning??" Jeremy thought it was a little strange too...although he has warmed up to the idea now. Santa comes and draws tickets for small gifts...and yes..all three of my kids got to go up this year!! Regan also got to perform her Tavaci songs for the program....

And finally, Jer and I got brave and took to kids to the Zoo in December. They had a "free zoo day" this week and we packed up all the snow gear and headed down. It was so much fun. There was hardly anyone there and all of the big cats and bears were out playing in the snow.

Whew....I am ready for the new year!

Emrey

Emrey you are two months old already!! Where has the time gone.....it seems like it took forever for you to get here and then you grow up so fast! You have been by far my easiest baby. You smile all the time and try to coo a little. Your sister and brother love you so much and you make us so happy! We are so blessed to have you as part of our family!

Baby Emrey is here!!!

Emrey Winn Gee arrived on Friday September 18th at 11:52 pm. She weighed a nice 8 pounds 10 ounces and was 21 inches. When she was being delivered all doctor could say was "holy hair" and "this baby is covered in hair" it was pretty funny. She did come posterior (face up instead of face down) so the labor was longer than it normally would have been. But she made it here and is perfect. Regan already claims "she looks just like me".....she does, but she has a lot of Daxton in her too. Now the question is....am I ready to begin life with 3!!!!????

Kindergarten fun.....read on....

Regan FINALLY got to start Kindergarten today. I wish I could say it was your "normal" first day of school, but does anything "normal" happen to me.....not usually. The morning started off "normal" I guess you could say but by the time it was time to get ready we were already running late. I finally loaded Regan and Daxton in the car and headed to the bus stop (heaven forbid Regan NOT riding the bus....she was more excited about the bus than school). I rounded the corner to the bus stop only to realize the bus was already ahead of us and we were racing to get to the bus stop before we missed it. All was well there in the end, I jumped out of the car, grabbed Regan and told Daxton to stay in the car while I got Regs on the bus. Gathered with all the other moms (some of which were crying....I have NO idea why) we watched all the kiddos load onto the bus and I snapped a picture and watched the bus pull away. As I am turning to go back to my car, I notice the car is slowly moving toward me....YES my darling 3 year old has climbed out of his seat belt, into the front seat and put the car into drive....!!! I was driving our older car that Jeremy usually uses for car pool and as I go to grab the door....I realize it is locked!! Yes, the stupid car doors lock automatically when the car is put into drive. So there I am 8 1/2 months pregnant jogging along side the card yelling at Daxton to "open the doors". I guess I should count myself lucky because he somehow managed to get the car back into park which jolted the car to a stop and then he unlocked the doors. Well I wish I could say that was it, but as I am driving home still shaking from the whole ordeal I remember I am supposed to go visiting teaching right then so I pull up to my partners house and pick her up. We drive to the first persons house and I put the car in park, take out the keys, put on the park break and we head into the house. So this sweet lady does not live on a flat piece of ground, her driveway is very steep but why would that worry me?? Well, we are standing in the doorway with Daxton and he says he is going to play on the lawn (which is normally does at her house). We continue on with our lovely message and chat and turn to leave and I notice that my car which was once in the driveway is now backed across the road and the back tires are up over the curb.....need I say more?? Daxton had quietly climbed back into the car WITHOUT KEYS and WITH THE PARK BREAK ON and still managed to shift the stupid car into reverse....I can gratefully say no one was injured in my 3 year old's joy rides, but he now knows if he EVER moves the car again...he gets to go talk to the nice policeman who live at the top of our street. So if any of you think you have a crazy 3 year old, give me a call. It might make me feel better. Whew!! What a nice first day of school...

Summer Fun!!

Well I don't know if I am just trying to survive the heat or I am just plain lazy, but I decided I better post that we are still alive!! My poor kids are trying to "survive" mom being pregnant Jeremy just doesn't say anything (which is probably smart on his part). Jeremy had a work party at the zoo a few weeks ago and they rented it out (didn't know you could do that....) but we pretty much had the zoo all to ourselves. They had face painting...and that was all Regan wanted to do!! They were amazing face painters as you can see....I also enrolled Regan in a summer dance camp to see if she liked it....she doesn't. All she wants to do is gymnastics. It is like pulling teeth to get her to go, but I did get some cute pictures.

Picture of the zoo....completely empty....we were down looking at the black bears and Jeremy had to take a picture of our own "personal viewing"!!

YES I am HUGE....you should have seen my feet!!

Jer is always such a good sport!!

Told you the face painting was AWSOME!!!

Lagoon!!

I have been terrible at posting.....life is crazy in the summer!! We did have our annual trip to Lagoon yesterday with my family and it was a blast!! Jeremy took work off and came with us this year and that made it even better. This is our "big" family vacation this year since I am starting to get HUGE and don't want to travel much. Instead if Lagoona Beach we let this kids run through the water fountain at the front of Lagoon. That way, I avoided getting into a swimming suit and the kids stayed happy. I got the best pictures of Daxton in the water. Regan kept getting cold and would not hold still long enough to get a good one of her. Regan begged my sister Joanna to take her to the haunted house so she finally did. Joanna told me that Regan kept her eyse closed the entire time but the noises scared her so bad one of the workers brought a flashlight to Regan so she could hold it on the rest of the ride. She was crying so hard when she got out that everyone was looking. Guess she won't be going on that ride again for a while.....

Is stuff like this supposed to happen in my backyard???

Jeremy calls me last night on his way home from work to inform me that he can't get down our road because there is a SWAT team and men in camouflage with guns. I walk down the road to talk to some neighbors who have no idea what is happening either. Luckily Jeremy was able to get home down another road just before they closed everything off. A police car comes literally screeching down our road and two cops jump out yelling at everyone to get into their houses because someone has barricaded themselves inside their house and he has powerful rifles. Regan is bawling by now riding her little bike home as fast as she can and then she hides under her bed until I can convince her that she is safe.
As we are sitting in our house, we get a knock on the door and a phone call from police telling us to stay inside and away from windows!! The cop even tells Jeremy, "you have brick on your house so you should be fine!"...HELLLO!!!!!!Yes, the standoff in little old Perry, UT was in my neighborhood.
Here are some pictures I took from my kitchen window (the ones with the cops standing by the fence and the house)......there were cops jumping fences and running through backyards!! It was crazy!! I have the story I copied from an online newspaper. Happy that everything ended well and there were no shots fired!!

Armed standoff in Perry ends peacefully
PERRY -- A 51-year-old man who lives across the street from the Perry Police Department surrendered peacefully Friday night after keeping authorities at bay for more than two hours in a tense, armed standoff.
Around 6:30 p.m., Walter Reavis, who lives at 1190 W. 3000 South, exited his small, white, wood-frame home, put his hands in the air and calmly gave himself up to camouflaged Brigham City Metro SWAT Team members.
Reavis, who reportedly has from diabetes, was placed in handcuffs and whisked away by ambulance to Brigham City Community Hospital, said Perry Police Sgt. Brian Millaway.
Information about Reavis' medical condition was not available Friday night.
Charges could be filed against Reavis, said Millaway, who expressed gratitude that no shots were fired and no one was injured.
The drama began around 4:30 p.m. Friday when Reavis' wife, who was not identified, ran from her home and contacted a Perry police officer who was making a traffic stop several blocks away.
The woman told the officer her husband was upset over a family dispute and was threatening violence with firearms inside the house.
"He was threatening to shoot anyone who came around," Millaway said, recalling what the woman told the officer.
Police quickly cordoned off 3000 South and sent in the SWAT team, which set up a perimeter at each corner of the house, Millaway said.
At one point during the standoff, an armed personnel carrier capable of carrying four police officers rumbled up the road toward Reavis' house.

The carrier, acquired by the SWAT team about six years ago from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, can also be used to deliver cell phones and provisions that can assist in negotiations with armed suspects, said Lt. Dennis Vincent, of the Brigham City Police Department.
SWAT team members were able to negotiate with Reavis through a loudspeaker placed in front of his house, Millaway said.
Reavis made no demands and did not brandish any weapons during the siege, but firearms were found inside the house afterward, Millaway said.

My tap dance recital at 20 weeks pregnant!!

Okay, so I debated about whether or not to post this, but then I thought what the heck. I have been doing an adult tap dance class (which I have NEVER done) since October of last year. I wanted to try something new and I thought this was the ticket. I have loved every minute...even when I found out I was pregnant. I was NOT going to do the recital being 20 weeks along and I finally decided that I would be disappointed in myself if I did not because it was the final bang after all I had worked for. So yes, I was HUGE on stage and yes, I loved it!!! So although I look funny, I had to post the pictures to give you all the idea.

Regan Graduated!!! (from preschool)

So I am really slow at blogging. Last night was a big night for my little Regan. Yes...she did it!! She graduated from preschool. It was a pretty big deal for these little 5 year olds. It was so fun to watch and I am so proud of her. She is growing up so fast. She is anxious for Kindergarten.

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE......
